What is MagicBrief?
A free, anonymous AI ad creative generator. You type a product brief, pick the placement ratio, and get a finished image back in seconds.
The short answer
MagicBrief is a browser tool that converts a written brief into an advertising image. There is nothing to install, no account to create and no card to enter. You describe the product, the setting, the light and the mood in ordinary English, choose whether the output should be a square feed post, a 4:5 portrait, a 9:16 story or a 16:9 landscape, and press generate. A few seconds later a high-resolution creative appears on the page, ready to download and drop into an ad set. That is the entire product surface — one text box, one dropdown and one button.
Why briefs, not templates
Template tools ask you to pick a layout and fill in the blanks, which means every advertiser using the same template ships a variant of the same ad. A brief works the other way around. Because the input is a sentence rather than a slot, two people describing the same product in their own words get genuinely different images, and one person can change a single adjective to get a controlled variation. That is what makes briefs useful for testing: the unit of iteration is a phrase, not a redesign, so producing the tenth variant costs the same as producing the first.
How a generation actually runs
When you press generate, the brief and the chosen aspect ratio are sent to a diffusion image model behind a Cloudflare Turnstile check that filters out automated abuse. The request is queued, the page polls for progress, and the finished image is returned to your browser. No login token is involved because there is no login, and the site does not build a profile of what you generate. If a generation fails or times out, you press the button again — there is no credit to lose, because there are no credits.
Writing a brief that works
The four-part pattern that consistently produces usable ad creative is subject, surface, light, mood. Start with the product and its material — "a brushed aluminium travel mug" rather than "a mug". Add what it sits on and what is behind it, because surfaces are what make an image read as photographed. Then name the lighting: soft morning window light, hard midday sun, overcast diffusion, neon at dusk. Finish with the mood or reference style you are after. Vague briefs produce stock-photo-flavoured output; specific briefs produce something you would actually pay to run.

Choosing the right placement
Aspect ratio is not a post-processing decision. A creative composed as a square and then cropped to 9:16 loses the sides of the product and usually the whole point of the composition. Generate natively at the size the ad will run: 1:1 for a standard feed post, 4:5 for the taller feed placement that occupies more screen on mobile, 9:16 for stories and reels, 16:9 for landscape and in-stream slots. If a campaign needs several placements, run the same brief once per ratio and let the model recompose the scene each time.
What MagicBrief is not
It is worth being precise about the boundaries. MagicBrief does not analyse competitor ad libraries, predict click-through rates, estimate ad spend or score a creative before you run it. It has no browser extension and no mobile app. It does not manage campaigns, teams, seats or client approvals, and it does not edit an existing image you upload. It generates an ad creative image from text. Everything else — the media buying, the copy, the measurement — happens in the tools you already use.
Where it fits in a real workflow
The usual pattern is exploration first, production second. Teams use MagicBrief to find the angle: run eight briefs, look at what actually stops the scroll, and only then decide whether the winner deserves a real photoshoot or ships as-is. Agencies use it live in pitch meetings so a concept stops being a paragraph and becomes something on screen. Small teams without a designer use the output directly. Because it is free and anonymous, there is no procurement conversation and nothing to cancel if you stop using it.

Common questions
Yes. There is no sign-up, no card and no credit balance. A Cloudflare Turnstile check runs before each generation to keep automated abuse from swallowing the free capacity, and a fair-use hourly cap applies, but nothing about the tool is gated behind an account.
Yes. Creatives you generate can be used commercially — in ad campaigns, on landing pages and across social. You are responsible for the content of your brief, so do not ask for trademarked logos, recognisable public figures or copyrighted characters.
No, and it does not pretend to. There is no scoring, no predicted click-through rate and no competitor ad-library data. It generates images. Performance is measured in your ad platform, on real traffic, the way it always has been.
Change one thing in the brief and generate again. The most common fixes are naming the surface the product sits on, naming the light source, and choosing the placement ratio the ad will actually run in. Because generations are free, iterating costs you nothing but a few seconds.
