AI ad creatives for DTC brands
Test more angles per week than your production calendar allows, without adding a designer, a photographer or a monthly bill.
Overview
The creative queue is the real constraint
Most direct-to-consumer brands do not lose on media buying. They lose on throughput. A single product photoshoot takes weeks to schedule, costs more than the first month of spend behind it, and returns a set of images that all share one lighting setup and one mood. By the time those assets reach the ad account, the angle they were built around may already be stale, and there is nothing in the pipeline behind them.
MagicBrief attacks that constraint from the cheapest possible direction. You write a sentence describing the product, the setting, the light and the feeling you want, choose the placement ratio, and get a finished ad creative back in seconds. Because the input is a sentence, the second variant costs the same as the first, and the twentieth costs the same as the second. A brand that could previously test two creative directions a month can test ten in an afternoon.
None of this replaces a hero shoot for your best-selling SKU. What it replaces is the guessing that happens before the shoot: the part where someone decides which angle deserves the budget. Generate the angles first, look at them side by side, run the cheap version to find out which one people actually respond to, and only then spend real money on the winner.

What changes for a DTC team
Angle testing without a queue
Every new angle is a rewritten sentence, not a booking. Swap the setting, the season or the mood and generate again — the creative is ready before the brief conversation would have finished.
Every placement, natively sized
Run the same brief at 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16 and the model recomposes the scene for each one. No cropping a square hero into a story and hoping the product survives.
Nothing to approve or expense
The tool is free and needs no account, so there is no seat to request, no procurement thread and no renewal date. A new hire can be generating within a minute of opening the page.
A weekly creative sprint
One repeatable loop that fits inside a normal week and produces enough new creative to keep a test running.
1. List the angles
Write down four to six positioning angles for the SKU — the gift angle, the routine angle, the durability angle, the seasonal angle. One line each, in plain English.
2. Turn each into a brief
Convert every angle into a subject-surface-light-mood brief. The product description stays constant; only the context around it changes, which keeps the set comparable.
3. Generate per placement
Run each brief once for every placement you buy. Ten minutes of generation gives you a matched grid of creatives across feed, portrait and story.
4. Ship, read, rewrite
Launch the set, let the platform find the winner, then rewrite the winning brief with one variable changed to build the next generation of tests.
Briefs that work for DTC products
Copy the structure, replace the nouns with your own product and setting.
A ribbed glass moisturiser jar on a white tiled bathroom shelf, soft morning light from the left, a folded towel out of focus behind it, calm minimal skincare ad photography, 4:5
The same moisturiser jar in an open kraft gift box on a walnut table, warm evening lamp light, dried eucalyptus beside it, cosy premium gifting ad photography, 1:1

DTC questions
For exploration and testing, usually yes. For the packshot on your product detail page, usually no — customers expect that image to be the literal item they receive. The realistic split is generated imagery for discovery and angle testing, photographed imagery for the moment of purchase.
Describe the brand in the brief. Name the palette, the material language and the mood you use everywhere else — "cool grey and sand palette, matte surfaces, restrained and clinical" — and keep that clause identical across every generation so the set holds together.
There is a fair-use hourly cap so the free capacity stays available to everyone, but no credits, no plan and no per-image charge. A normal weekly sprint sits well inside it.
